    KidSPOT is a hands-on creative learning center for children aged 2-12. We are open every Saturday free of charge to kids accompanied by their parents, or other responsible adult. The Center is a destination for area children where they can look forward to interacting with a variety of stimulating activities that expand their horizons. Located right next door to the RiverArts galleries, KidSPOT invites children to play, create and explore the arts and sciences. Kids participate in activities that incorporate visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, music, science and technology.     The a cappella sound of Sombarkin: Karen Somerville, Lester Barrett, Jr., and Jerome McKinney, a trio of vocalists whose sound is so well jelled it is amazing to discover just who is singing which part. The group uses the skill of vocal instrumentation and harmony to deliver an explosive performance of Negro spirituals, map (code) songs, folk, gospel, blues, and jazz. Their polyphonic technique is reminiscent of the ole time camp meetings, as well they deliver a contemporary soulful sound with surprising jazz licks and blues bends.     The Chestertown Lions Club welcomes cyclists to this summer’s bicycling challenge, the Bay to Bay ride. The tour consists of four routes between 27 and 104 miles in length. The flat loop routes take in the scenery of the heartland of the Upper Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware including farmlands, old country homes, quaint towns, and great country stores.
